It is such a blessing to be a part of a wonderful team at Active Dental Irving! My name is Dr. Samantha Young, I was born in Los Angeles, CA and spent most of my childhood growing up in Indiana and Dallas, TX.
I always gravitated towards dentistry since I was little. My journey to dentistry started at a young age of seven years old playing with dental stone and putty at my father’s dental school. Fast forward a few years, I continued in pursuit of dentistry at the University of Texas at Austin where I obtained my BS degree in Kinesiology. Following my Undergraduate studies, I completed a Masters Degree in Biomedical Science degree at Barry University in sunny Florida. I completed my training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where I obtained my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
My approach to dentistry can best be described as gentle, attentive, communicative, and patient-focused to make sure we meet your unique dental needs. I strive to help patient’s obtain and maintain smiles by using up-to-date techniques with a delicate hand to provide esthetic and functional results. We take pride in our advanced technology to help aid in understanding your oral health.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I also love to run marathons and half marathons. You will most likely find me on trails, the track, or traveling to my next race!
